MPM Project Course
Description: This mini, 6-unit Project Course is designed specifically with the MPM student in mind and registration is limited to 7 MPM students. The Project Course will allow students to apply the diverse skills developed in the classroom to a “real world” problem with an actual client. Students will work in a team on a pre-structured problem to complete appropriate analysis using quantitative and analytical tools, generate recommendations to solve or ameliorate the problem, and present the analysis and recommendations to the client in both written and oral form. The experience will be designed to sharpen problem-solving skills and skills in working effectively as part of a team. This project is supervised by Associate Teaching Professor Laura Synnott, who will maintain the relationship with the client, direct and critique student work, coach students for their presentations, and grade the students based on their contributions to the project, client feedback, and the overall project outcome.
