Learning Outcomes: At the end of the course, students will be able to understand and identify the critical factors in the success of film exhibition management in order to make the best decisions based on the economic rationale. The course will allow students to contribute value to any of the three perspectives of the film industry┬┤s value chain: production, distribution or exhibition. Describe and use the criteria to identify a successful theater site location. Understand and analyze the different market needs in order to establish the most efficient criteria for the film booking process. Identify the nature of the relationship between the booking agents and the exhibitors in order to achieve the best win-win situation during film booking negotiations. Analyze the market trends in order to design successful marketing programs accordingly with the different variables that affect attendance during the different seasons of the year. Describe the technological trends in the sector as a key factor for innovation and improvement in service & experience design.
