Description:

This course is designed to introduce you to the many elements of entrepreneurship, with a specific focus on digital and data innovation. Data and the insights gained from it are increasingly becoming more valuable as a product than past traditional business models. From start-ups to the creation of new business opportunities within larger enterprises, we will explore what are the necessary elements for success and what are some of the challenges faced in this rapidly emerging field. 

 

The course will rely heavily on in-class participation, including small team projects and presentations, lectures and readings. We will pair the theoretical framework of entrepreneurial issues with guest speakers who are current data entrepreneurs and investors so you can see the frameworks in action and ask questions to enhance your learning.
