94-844

Units: 6

Description

Pre- Req for PPM students 90819

This lab course immerses students in the exciting world of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) through practical, hands-on experiences. Designed to complement theoretical knowledge with real-world applications, this course equips students with the skills and expertise needed to build and deploy GenAI models across diverse domains.

Through a combination of interactive labs, coding exercises, and collaborative projects, students will gain a deep understanding of GenAI techniques and their practical implementation. Throughout the course, students will also engage in peer-to-peer learning and real-world problem solving. By the end of the lab course, students will have hands-on experience with various GenAI techniques and will be prepared to apply these skills in research, industry, and creative applications.

Learning Outcomes

  1. Understand and explain the theory behind various GenAI models.
  2. Apply prompt engineering techniques to control and guide generative models effectively.
  3. Develop skills in using modern AI frameworks and libraries for generative tasks.
  4. Design experiments to systematically evaluate the performance and limitations of GenAI models.
  5. Address ethical considerations and societal impacts of GenAI models.
